Get The Scoop With Our Gettysburg, PA Hotel Reviews

I am currently staying here for a few more days. I booked this hotel because the reviews were good, it had an indoor pool, breakfast and was only a year old. Would I stay here again? Maybe. After taxes, our week stay was around $1000. I booked before Christmas. Here's my thoughts on this hotel. The pros: Very clean, staff is absolutely amazing, breakfast is phenomenal, parking is good, photography around the building and in the rooms is wonderful, (the photographer should be commended), nice little buffet area in the room with small coffee pot (not Keurig), microwave, fridge and drawers and cabinets, there's even and ironing board! The front desk area is very comfortable and welcoming. Very good location, can walk to a lot. The key cards for getting into the rooms are really cool. You just tap the door lock thingy and it unlocks. The cons: Pool is tiny, very tiny, the rooms are not as big as I had hoped, or as big as other hotels we have stayed in. The main focus of this place is "battlefield view from breakfast area, pool and the small gym" honestly the pool and gym are on ground level and as you walk along the side walk outside you can see people getting in and out of the pool, (rotund folks such as myself DO NOT enjoy that. You cant see the battlefield from inside the pool at all so that kind of defeats the purpose. While eating breakfast you don't really pay attention to the battlefield because it's so busy and slightly cramped in there that you hope not to spill anything or bump anyone. There is only 1 elevator, but it goes fairly quickly. The closets in the room need oiled pretty bad. We didn't use ours because it was so loud that I didn't want to disturb other guests, (the floors and walls seem to be pretty thin, but not that bad).

Spacious double queen room. Clean, comfortable, great breakfast for a family.

The hotel itself was clean and managed very well. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. The only time they were unable to accommodate us during the stay was, we got pizza to go from a local shop and they wouldn't allow us to get a free plates from the breakfast room. Other than that, the staff was helpful. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size and very clean. The beds, to my boyfriend and I, we're hard and not comfortable at all, so we didn't sleep as well as we could have. My kids slept fine and said their bed was comfortable. Either way the stay was fun and the hotel is in a great area!
